Bibles
Although Zambia is officially known as a Christian country, many people, particularly
those living in the rural areas, do not possess a Bible. Some of this is due
to language and the low level of literacy but the main reason is simply that the people
cannot afford to buy one. One of SHAREAfrica’s ministries is to distribute Bibles
wherever there is a need. In the main the Bibles are donated free of charge to
local churches and are not for resale.
We are always looking for donations of new or second hand Bibles that are in good
condition. The Authorised Version is the preferred English Bible although we do
distribute ASV, RV, and NKJ.
Local language Bibles are particularly scarce and we are keen to source new Bibles
or Testaments in Bemba, Lunda, Luvale, and Tonga.
If you are willing to donate Bibles we will be glad to arrange for both the shipping
and distribution.
