In Africa today, many thousands of children live in poverty and are unable to attend school. The reasons are many, although the prevalence of HIV and lack of health care are major contributing factors. The vast majority of these children are orphans living with relatives. They have no voice and have become an unaffordable burden within an impoverished society.
